Inclusivity and diversity
We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where every person — regardless of culture, language, gender, sexuality, or identity — feels welcome and supported.
We proudly celebrate the diversity of our community and actively promote participation from:
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, including migrant and refugee families.
LGBTQIA+ players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters, ensuring our club is a place where people can be themselves without fear of discrimination.
Our commitment includes:
A zero-tolerance approach to racism, discrimination, homophobia, or transphobia.
Providing safe spaces and flexible programs to reduce barriers to participation.
Partnering with community organisations to support engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing.
Embedding safeguarding and mental health awareness as part of our everyday culture.
Soccer is the world game, and at Capalaba Football Club we believe its greatest strength is the diversity of the people who play it. Everyone belongs here.
Safeguarding
At Capalaba Football Club, the safety and wellbeing of children and young people is our highest priority.
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where all players, coaches, volunteers, and families feel respected and protected.
Our commitment includes:
Following Football Queensland and Football Australia’s Safeguarding Policies and Queensland Working with Children (Blue Card) Services requirements.
Ensuring all coaches, officials, and volunteers hold a valid Blue Card and receive regular safeguarding training.
Promoting a culture where concerns can be raised safely, listened to, and acted upon.
Taking all concerns about child safety seriously and responding in line with best practice and legal requirements.
Actively creating an environment where children and young people can thrive, learn, and enjoy the game of football free from harm.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Together, we can ensure our club is a safe place for all.
Here is a child version (I haven't thought about where this should be) Maybe near the toilets (next season)
At Capalaba Bulldogs, your safety comes first. 💙⚽
Everyone has the right to feel safe, welcome and respected.
All our coaches and volunteers are trained to keep children and young people safe.
If you ever feel worried, unsafe, or uncomfortable, you can talk to a coach, team manager, or our Safeguarding Officer.
We will always listen and take your concerns seriously.
This is your club – a place to play, learn, and have fun, free from harm.
🌈⚽ Everyone belongs at Capalaba Bulldogs! We’re proud to be an inclusive club where LGBTQIA+ players, families, and supporters are always welcome and respected. 💙
