IMPORTANT NOTICE - Mini-roos, Junior Divisional and City League Players

Football Brisbane has received an unprecedented number of team withdrawals, additions, divisional change requests and significant fixturing changes following the communication of the draft draws last Tuesday. Over 75 teams across our City Leagues and Junior Divisional competitions have withdrawn, asked to be added to a competition, or requested a change in division.

This has decimated many of our competitions, reducing several to 6-8 team leagues.

In that time, a further 100+ Mini Roos teams have also asked to be included in the Mini-Roos competitions and it is not possible to action this prior to the 4th round of Mini Roos.

Due to these reasons, Football Brisbane has made the decision to postpone Round 1 of the City League, Junior Divisional and Mini Roos competitions.

  • Round 1 of the City League competitions will be played in the first scheduled ‘Catch Up’ round for that league on the 3rd-5th May 2019.

  • Round 1 of the Junior Divisional competitions will be played in the first scheduled ‘Catch Up’ round for those competitions on 14th-16th June 2019.

  • An additional round of fixtures will be added to the Aldi Mini Roos competitions on the 6th-8th September 2019.

Football Brisbane apologises for the inconvenience this will cause our clubs, teams and players who had expected to take the field in their respective competitions this coming weekend. With such fluidity in our competitions and participating teams over the last 72 hours, it has become increasingly difficult to ensure our fixtures will be published with enough time for our teams to prepare to play this weekend and our referees to officiate.
