Female Football Week - Spotlight on Emilie Rochelet

Emilie is an integral part of Capalaba FC’s Aldi Mini-roo’s program in her role as Technical Director and oversees the programs coaching and player development for all under 5 to under 12 teams.

Emilie came to Capalaba FC as a highly credentialed and experienced Coach. She possesses a Bachelor of Human Movement and Master of Exercise Science from University of Lyon, as well as an FFA/AFC “C” Licence and has delivered quality SAP and Academy programs at Queensland NPL Clubs.

Emilie also has a distinguished playing career, at the age of 16 she accepted a scholarship to play football in the USA with Centennial High School and after a successful year, returned to her native France to play first team football with Olympique Lyonnaise for 4 years, where she played in the winning French Cup team of 2003. She joined NPL Club, Redlands United for the 2016 NPL and SEQ Futsal Premier League seasons.

Emilie has been instrumental in establishing our Bulldog Academy with the aim of developing talented under 8 to under 12 footballers to be expressive, skilful and talented footballers while fostering an enjoyment of the game.  The Academy program commenced in 2018 and was so successful that in 2019 we have introduced an Academy for talented under 7 players who have shown enough potential to commence on the pathway to our elite junior football programs. Emilie’s’ unwavering commitment and attention to detail across our Mini-roos program has ensured that our participation rates in this vital age bracket continues to grow and help Capalaba FC become the Club of choice for all footballers in the area.
